About Me.

me-and-the-dogs

Ello, as most of you might know, my name is Bailey. I am a lover of the arts, all different kinds. Music, painting, writing, decorating, drawing, crafting, dance, and even crochet. I picked up crocheting very randomly as a calming hobby that helped relieve my stress I had at the time, and I never put the hook down.

I love being able to showcase my love of crafting on this little blog of mine, even if not that many people see it. I enjoy being able to have a portfolio, if you will, to come back to and see what I can accomplish. However, the main reason I have produced this mini company of mine is so save money for college.

I plan on returning to school Fall 2018. The only thing I will be doing until then is trying to earn as much money as I possibly can to help pay for college. I work full time at an Animal Dermatology Clinic, part time at Buckle as a Visual Merchandiser, and now this! I like staying busy, yes, but it can get a little stressful. But if you catch your eye on something, and you truly want to achieve it, you will do absolutely everything you can to grab on to it!

Obstacles are those things you see when you take your eye off the goal. -Henry Ford

Pony-tail Beanie.

The perfect combination has arrived! A beanie with a convenient hole for your pony tail, that’s brilliant! They are perfect for bon fires, football games, even dressing up and going out while it’s cold.

I absolutely LOVE making this product because I can make them pretty quickly. The good thing about that is I can have them made as quickly as you’d like, within reason of course(:

You can order any color you’d like and they come in a few different sizes! You can also order a scarf to go along with it if you’d like. That other cute little object is a coffee mug coozy(:

Be like Ariel.

One of the biggest trends these days is, of course, the Mermaid Tail Blanket! I just had to take a wing at this because they are just the cutest thing since I don’t know when. I do have to say, my favorite thing about making these is seeing the happy smiles on the girls faces that get to have one!

I put out this item before Christmas time and it was a HUGE hit! But man, I’ve gained some crocheting muscles! It takes about 5-6 straight hours of work to finish one of these bad boys! This particular one took even longer since I had to change color every row and I made it GIANT so that my cousin, Cassidy, could grow into it and enjoy it longer.

I’m still taking orders on these, so if you, or anyone you know would enjoy one of these adorable creations feel free to contact me directly, or on ETSY, here.

The First Wreath of the Year

Fall is upon us! The actual first day of the season MAY be September 22nd, but my first day is the 1st. My sister, Ryann, and I went on one of our many thrilling Hobby Lobby trips and she had the idea for me to make a wreath. I, of course, said YASSSS!!

My all time favorite base for my wreaths is the scattered trig base. They come in all different shapes and sizes. There is even a square one that would be really cute and abstract. After you pick your base you can kind of, sort of, pretty much GO CRAZY! Try to stick to a few primary colors and one overall theme. I find picking 3 strong main colors works best, but you do you!

Then you can add your choice of garland. It’s always a good idea to start off a bit basic with your garland. That way throughout your craft you can add as much as you want.

After you have secured the garland, then begins the fun part! DECORATING! There is a little bit of strategy behind the madness, but you basically just start placing everything in a way that looks best to you. BUT, do not, I repeat DO NOT secure anything until the very end. I promise it will save you a lot of pain and heartache!

Fall in love.

THE Halter Top

I emphasize the “THE” because this is it! This is THE top that started it all. I made this on a whim because I can never find crochet tops, or any clothing for that matter, that doesn’t look like a grandma knitted it. (No offense, Grandmas) And it turned out SO many people loved the top that they requested I sell it to them. And so Simpli Blissful was born.

I absolutely love this top because it is perfect for the summer, obviously, but also a great addition for those multi-layer outfits for fall. I am open to making nearly any color, as long as they make yarn in that hue.

This is actually the only item that I currently have up on my Etsy shop, and you can go check it out here, leave comments, and of course feel free to order one.

Stay Blissful,

Bailey
